It is quite interesting to study the history of Birthday celebrations. Earliest history of birthday can be traced before the rise of Christianity where celebrations began to ward off evil spirits!! Birthday History
History of Birthday observance can be traced back before the rise of Christianity. In pagan culture it was believed evil spirits visited people on their birthdays. To protect the person having birthday from the evil effect, people used to surround him and make merry. A lot of noise used to be created in such parties to scare away the evil spirits. In those times there was no tradition of bringing gifts and guests attending the birthday party would bring good wishes for the birthday person. However, if a guest did bring gifts it was considered to be a good sign for the person of honor. Later, flowers became quite popular as a Birthday gift.

Over the years birthday celebrations became quite popular all over the world and today they are globally celebrated by people irrespective of their caste and social status. Though the method of birthday celebrations is similar in number of countries some countries follow unique way of celebrations based on their cultural milieu, religious tradition and spiritual beliefs. Everywhere birthdays are a special day of people and birthday parties are organized to enjoy the day by having fun with loved ones. Those who are unable to wish personally, send their good wishes by way of Birthday Cards following the tradition started in England about a hundred years ago.

It’s said that two persons truly in love aren’t looking at each other but in the one direction. And this is rather reasonable because they don’t say nothing “this is yours and this is mine” and share everything: friends, enemies, interests, problems and etc. One has his/her own identity but sees him/herself only as a part of the other. Still real love is not a relationship of property. 

Love isn’t sex. 

That statement alone goes against a lot of what the entertainment industry feeds us. Whenever two people hook up in pop culture, they have sex. Without showing some of the unpleasant realities of premarital and extramarital sex, it is drawn up to be a wonderful, fun recreational activity.

Sex is created for marriage–a long-lasting commitment between a couple. Outside of marriage, sex can have harsh consequences. Pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, guilt, insecurity, and shame can follow. A relationship based on lust can only last as long as the two are physically close and find each other sexually attractive.

Love is a choice. It’s a commitment. Although feelings will accompany love, and although sex will be a part of marriage, a lasting, healthy relationship cannot be based on these things.
The Bible says that God is love. God, as our designer and creator, made us with needs for love. Do you ever wonder why we constantly seek love from others but never feel completely satisfied? It’s because God designed us for an unconditional love, and we, as people, are flawed.

If you really love someone you may say “I belong you”but always be ready to let go if it makes the person you love happy.

Celebrating a Year in CDO with Stickers

It's been a year. I can't believe it's more than a year since I first stepped in CDO for a job. I know it ain't easy looking for a job but I was too enthusiastic to look for one. I didn't mind all the people who criticized me for leaving my siblings at home. I left my 3 siblings at home without having somebody to look after them. It was painful and yet I have to continue my journey, as they say.

Here, I learned to hobnob with other people which I was not used to. I was like a leech, I stayed with my bestfriend, we have shared every piece she got and all I have is myself to stay beside her every step of the way. It was a roller-coaster ride but still we managed to hold on.

Aside from my boardmates turned friends, I also have mere officemates turned “close friends”. They are fantastic - all came from prestigious schools, brilliant and exceptional. Despite the differences, we still blend. Thanks to them especially to those who see to it everyone is present in every occasion, makes the bond tighter and tighter. Haha

A day before, kabz told me they were going to CDO to take advantage of the Fiesta Sale. Aside from that, they wanna meet him(as in him). Hush!
Anyways, most of the pics were taken in Silver Creek(Hanna's place here in CDO) on our way home.
It was on Mae's birthday, August 30! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pics when we were in Hanna's house(sa kaon-kaon na time, sunod na lang).
